Clean WordPress classic editor interface with custom fields

Many people think that “classic” means “old-fashioned” or “limited”.
But here’s the truth: The Classic Editor is still one of the most stable, fast, and intuitive tools in the WordPress world.

For those who may not know – the Classic Editor is the old, traditional content editor in WordPress, which was replaced in 2018 by the Gutenberg Editor. Gutenberg uses so-called blocks for every single piece of content – even the smallest one – which is still a pretty controversial thing in the WordPress world.

In my humble opinion, you don’t need a block for every line of text.
You don’t need 15 clicks to change a heading.
All you really need is content – and clarity.

What are custom fields (and why should you care)?

Custom fields let me add special options to your content – tailored to your site.

For example:

  • A “Testimonial” field for client quotes
  • A “Subtitle” field for blog posts
  • A “Gallery” field for a portfolio page

Instead of hardcoding everything or relying on a builder, we keep content and layout separate.

That means:

  • You can update content without breaking layout
  • I can build faster
  • Your site stays clean and easy to maintain

What you get as a client

From your side, it’s all super simple.

You open your page or post and see only the fields that matter.

You edit the title. The text. Maybe upload an image. Done.

No extra fluff. No accidental layout disasters. Just clear input fields designed exactly for your needs.

Why I’m still a fan of the Classic Editor

It’s:

  • Light, fast, and reliable
  • Easy to train clients on
  • Clean and distraction-free
  • Fully compatible with custom development

And apparently, I’m not the only one who thinks so.

The Classic Editor plugin has been downloaded over 10 million times – which tells you a lot about what people really want from their WordPress experience. See for yourself.

In short, it lets me focus on what matters most: your content.

Want a website that’s easy to update – without the fluff?

I build WordPress websites that are clean, fast, and built around you – not your plugins.
Let’s simplify your web presence without sacrificing power.
