Why I Use as Few Plugins as Possible And Why That’s Good For You

Cable chaos as a metaphor for a WordPress site overloaded with plugins

Plugins can be helpful – but too many plugins can turn your website into a slow, fragile mess.

Plugins are tools – not magic

For those who may not know – plugins are add-ons you can install to your WordPress website to expand its functionality. They are developed and sold (or offered for free) by third-party creators. Every plugin you install generates additional files and code on your website, and that means:

  • More things to load
  • More chances for conflicts
  • More security risks
  • More potential maintenance problems

Some websites run 30+ plugins just to “look cool”.
The result? Slow, unstable, expensive to fix.

My approach is different

I use plugins only when they really make sense.
And most of the time – I personally code and develop almost everything your website needs from scratch – custom features, custom add-ons, and custom solutions built specifically for your business.

This gives you:

  • Faster loading times
  • Less chance of errors or bugs
  • Better security
  • Easier updates
  • Full control over every part of your site

How many plugins do you really need?

In most cases: 3 to 10 carefully selected plugins are more than enough.

For example, things like:

  • SEO plugin
  • Security plugin
  • Caching plugin
  • Maybe a contact form

And that’s it.

Everything else?
Custom coded.
Optimized for your specific site.
Light, fast, reliable.

Why this matters for you

  • Faster website = better user experience
  • Less plugins = less problems
  • Custom code = tailored to your needs

Plus, you won’t wake up one day to find your site broken because “some random plugin updated and destroyed your layout”.

Want a website without plugin overload?

I build WordPress websites that work fast, run smooth, and don’t depend on 50 different plugins to function.

Simple. Stable. Future-proof.
